In 2016, Ubisoft announced Rocksmith 2014 Remastered Edition, an improved and overhauled version of the original title. The studio introduced "a customizable learning curve, expanded practice tools, stat tracking, and improved menus," alongside committing to a long-term downloadable content plan to add to Rocksmith 2014's ever expanding song library.

Ubisoft's latest blog post and the release of Opeth Song Pack marked the final downloadable content Rocksmith 2014' will ever receive. The developer took the opportunity to reveal Ubisoft San Francisco alongside their global team have shifted their focus to a new project. The studio thanked the fans for standing by their side over the years, and over 383 weeks of DLC releases managed to grow the title's library to 1570 songs.

After 383 weeks of DLC releases, this pack brings us to a total of 1570 songs in the Rocksmith library, spanning over 7 decades (or 3 centuries, in the case of Bachsmith) and covering a multitude of genres for guitar and bass. For over a decade, we’ve watched players learn, grow, and constantly surprise us with your talent, creativity, and eagerness to help one another reach your goals. We truly could not be more proud to play a part in this guitar journey with you.

However, Rocksmith enthusiasts will still have the studio's weekly online content to look forward to, alongside the Rocksmith Dev Stream. Ubisoft made it very clear this doesn't mean the end of the studio's support to Rocksmith 2014 but just a new chapter in the game's books. The studio teased new surprises as well within the coming period through their social platforms.

What do you think Ubisoft are working on? Could it be another Rocksmith title or they are shifting their resources to one of their bigger franchises? Let us know your thoughts and your favorite Rocksmith Remastered song over the years in the comments section below.
