French game developer and publisher Ubisoft has announced that they have opened 2 new studios in Europe. One of these is in Bordeaux in France, while the other is in Berlin, Germany. This announcement comes from a blog post on the Ubiblog. These studios join an ever-growing lineup of studios started by Ubisoft in Europe.

Harnessing the creative energies of two of Europe’s most exciting cities, these new studios will focus on AAA multiplatform development, and will assist in creating new games for some of the biggest franchises in gaming.
Christine Burgess-Quémard, executive director in charge of Ubisoft's global efforts, had this to say about the two new studios:
We pride ourselves on attracting and retaining the best creative talent around the world, and on establishing video games as a viable career option and economic contributor in new locales.
Opening more studios means that games can be worked on in tandem with other European studios opened by the French Assassin's Creed developer. The blog states that opening new studios in Germany and France allows Ubisoft to employ more local talent, as well as attract local industry veterans.

Bordeaux will be the fifth studio established in Ubisoft's native France and will help out developing new entries in notable franchises like Just Dance and the games in the Tom Clancy franchise. To stay up to date with the new Bordeaux studio you can like their Facebook page.

The new studio in the German capital of Berlin will be working closely with Ubisoft's Blue Byte studio in Düsseldorf and Mainz. The new studio will direct its manpower to an as of yet unannounced AAA games. Blue Byte focuses on the Anno franchise as well as The Settlers and supporting other Ubisoft projects.

Both new studios are still setting up, but they are already looking for more people to join their ranks. If you're interested in the open positions, you can go here to check all openings.
