Brenda Panagrossi, VP of Platform and Product Management for Ubisoft came onstage on Monday to announce that UPlay+ will be a subscription service for PC that grants players access to Ubisoft's catalog of over 100 PC titles. This includes new and classic games as well as their DLC. Subscribers will also be given access to the premium editions of these games, meaning they'll be getting all the bonus DLC and add-ons that normally only comes with those editions. Some of the games featured include Far Cry: New Dawn, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Beyond Good and Evil, Child of Light, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Panagrossi stated in a press release,
The video game industry is constantly shifting, and our players’ needs are evolving. At Ubisoft, we are committed to offering our players the best experience and the opportunity to discover the different worlds we’ve created for them. With Uplay+, we are able to provide more freedom for players by making it even easier to access our extensive catalogue. One of the biggest draws is the ability to play upcoming Ubisoft titles up to 3 days before their release date. This includes the recently announced Watch Dogs: Legion, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods & Monsters. Subscribers will automatically be included in any early access or beta programs for these games as well.
The service will cost $14.99 per month when it launches on September 3, 2019. Players who sign up before August 15 will get the month of September for free when the service launches. In addition, Ubisoft confirmed that they are partnering with Google to bring UPlay+ to Google's Stadia streaming service when it launches in 2020.
