During Ubisoft's E3 2017 conference, Assassin's Creed Origins' Game Director Ashraf Ismail came up on stage to give an impassioned speech about Ubisoft Montreal's journey to redefine what the storied franchise is truly about, and what more appropriate way to do so than go back in time to the beginnings of not only human civilization in Egypt, but also the foundation of the Assassins? Players will assume the role of Bayek in a new entry that has rebuilt the game's combat, open world exploration, and more. While no gameplay was shown after Ismail's introduction, a survey of the lands was shown in 4K footage that you'll be exploring across Egypt, such as Memphis and Alexandria. Looks like you'll be avoiding a lot of dangerous wildlife and cults in the process.
You can look forward to more gameplay after Ubisoft's conference concludes, but you can check out yesterday's gameplay footage during Microsoft's E3 2017 conference by clicking here.
