The newest Two Worlds II DLC pack will launch in Q3 2019. Shattered Embrace will serve as the conclusion to what developer Reality Pump Studios is calling "the Two Worlds II saga". This news comes after Reality Pump and publisher TopWare upgraded the game's engine in 2016, added a bunch of new in-game content, and announced two new story-focused DLC packs. Shattered Embrace is the second of those packs.
Shattered Embrace picks up directly after the events of previous Two Worlds II DLC Call of the Tenebrae. The Hero and his companions must deal with the resurgence of the long-lost mythical Elves and prevent a potential apocalyptic event. This Two Worlds II DLC will introduce an entirely new island for players to explore, a vast new city to discover, and plenty of untamed wilderness to master. Reality Pump also obliquely makes reference to "a forbidden dimension" in which an ancient god is beginning to awaken. Sounds like it'll be pretty climactic stuff.
In addition to new areas to explore, Two Worlds II: Shattered Embrace DLC will also add a number of new features to the game itself. Players will be able to try out around a hundred new weapons, equip fifteen new sets of armor, and discover many new destructive magic spells. There will also be a number of new guilds to join. Reality Pump and TopWare are estimating that Shattered Embrace will add around ten hours to the game. New sidequests include solving elf murder, hunting beasts for sport and crafting resources, and assisting merchants with various tasks. The life of an adventurer, eh?
Two Worlds II season pass holders will receive this DLC automatically when it launches. We still don't know exactly when Shattered Embrace will be released. We'll have more news for you on this when we have a concrete release date. In the meantime, why not go back and revisit Two Worlds II? We hear it's very different these days.
