Twitch streamer and OfflineTV member Lilypichu has been revealed as the English voice actress for Sayu, a new Genshin Impact character that's arriving in Genshin Impact 2.0 later this month.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game from Mihoyo that lets players explore a fantastical new world filled with colorful characters and high-flying battles. A huge part of the game's appeal is the ability to collect new characters with a gacha style system which allows you to make them more and more powerful. Now, a popular Twitch streamer is joining the voice acting cast with the game's next major patch!

Genshin Impact Sayu Lilypichu Lily Ki Suzuki Aya

LilyPichu Voicing One of the New Genshin Impact Characters

A total of three new Genshin Impact characters have been revealed for the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.0 update. The first of these characters is Sayu, an adorable ninja who will be voiced by Twitch streamer (and OfflineTV member) LilyPichu (Maple Story 2, Undead Darlings) in English. The Japanese VA will be Aya Suzuki (Assassination ClassroomThe Idolmaster Cinderella Girls.)

Sayu can use the power of the wind to rapidly dash across the world with "Yoohoo Art: Fuuin Dash." When things get tough, she can use the Elemental Art "Yoohoo Art: Mujina Flurry."

This cute ninja girl is not the only new character on the way, though — another two characters are also arriving in Genshin Impact 2.0.

Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka Yoimiya

The second of the three new characters is Kamisato Ayaka, voiced by Erica Mendez (Scarlet NexusNew Pokemon Snap) in English and Hayami Saori (Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) in Japanese.

Kamisato Ayaka is a swordsman with some powerful ice-based abilities, the first of which is the Elemental Skill "Kamisato Art: Hyouka." She can also use the Elemental Burst "Kamisato Art: Soumetsu" to fire off a big burst of ice.

Our third and final new Genshin Impact character is Yoimiya, an archer with a particular proclivity for making big bangs with fireworks. Yoimiya is voiced by Jenny Yokobori (Demon's SoulsTonikawa: Over the Moon for You) in English and Ueda Kana (Blazblue: Central FictionFate/Stay Night) in Japanese.

Yoimiya certainly has a love for fire; the "Niwabi Fire-Dance" Elemental Skill launches some deadly fireworks directly at her enemies. She can up the ante with the Elemental Burst "Ryuukin Saxifrage" that fires off an even more impressive array of explosives that makes the Macy's Fireworks Show look like a handful of sparklers.

Things are certainly shaping up nicely for Genshin Impact, but that's not all the cool stuff that Mihoyo had to reveal — players can get some freebies by redeeming the following codes as reported on Reddit:

  • AS6BQKLY9GLD – 100 Primogems, 10 Mystic Enhancement Ores
  • GBNA9J5H9Y4H – 100 Primogems, 5 Hero's Wits
  • LS6T4L9ZZ7TH – 100 Primogems, 50,000 Mora

These codes can be redeemed in-game or on the Genshin Impact website.

You can watch the "New Version Special Program" livestream to see these new characters in motion and learn more about the new content coming to the game later this month. You can play Genshin Impact for free on PC, PlayStation, and mobile devices via its official website. And if you're interested in checking out more about Sayu's voice actress, you can watch LilyPichu on Twitch.
