Treta 2017 in Curitiba, Brazil is the final Latin America ranking event of the Capcom Pro Tour before regional finals, meaning that it's the last chance for players to score either regional or global points to help them rise in the CPT standings before the top seven are decided for finals and the rest are forced to fight for the eighth spot in the last chance qualifier.
In addition to the headling game, tournaments were also held for Injustice 2, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XIV, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Killer Instinct. Streaming was handled by TRT Champ, Team Dash PR, Kombat Klub, and ETC Chile, all on Twitch.
