Nacon and Urban Games have announced the Transport Fever 2: Console Edition release date. The much-loved transport sim is making its way to consoles on March 9th, so it won't be too much longer before you get to experience this series for the first time if you're not a PC gamer.
If you're unfamiliar with Transport Fever, it's a business sim in which you create your very own transport company, growing it and developing infrastructure for various different transportation methods. You'll be ferrying both passengers and cargo to their destination, creating a reputation for yourself and ensuring you're the first stop for anyone who wants something transported.
According to the devs, the console version of the game will feature revamped controls, so you shouldn't have any trouble playing this PC-oriented game with your controller. In addition, it'll have improved graphics and a reworked interface, meaning that it might well be worth picking this one up even if you've already played it on PC. Here's a new Transport Fever 2: Console Edition gameplay trailer to help you get a sense of what's on offer.
This is, according to Urban Games and Nacon, the first transport management game on consoles, so if you've got the itch for some business sim action but you don't have a souped-up gaming PC, then this'll be the game for you. Transport Fever 2 lets you start all the way back in the 19th century and grow your transport empire into the present day, and it's got "around 200" real and historical vehicles on offer, too.
Transport Fever 2: Console Edition is available for pre-order right now on PlayStation consoles and Xbox platforms. If you pre-order the base game, you'll get a set of exclusive cosmetics. Here's what you get if you pony up for a base game pre-order.
