HandyGames’ medieval city building simulator Townsmen is coming to PC. The mobile game will be released on Steam later this year after being reworked and published by Headup Games with a PC focus.  The new version of the game will include improved graphics, sound and other optimizations for the platform.

Townsmen is a city building simulation game set during medieval times. The game allows players to grow a small village into an entire empire while managing the happiness of its residents and the state of the economy. There are dozens of town and production buildings to build as well as various scenarios and challenges to play through. Aside from growing your town, players can choose to beautify their village with statues and gardens or build up your military to protect it from bandits.

The PC version of Townsmen has been redesigned to better suit its players and platform and will be a premium game free of in-app purchases or advertisements. Some of the most important changes to the game are customizable controls, fully redrawn HD graphics and textures and better sampling for all sounds. In addition to those changes, there will be all the traditional Steam features such as cloud saves, achievements and trading cards.

German developer HandyGames  originally released their game years ago as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases for Android and iOS. It has since received updates adding new scenarios and gameplay improvements. The upcoming premium version of the game was worked on by fellow German indie company Headup Games who has helped publish games such as The Binding of Isaac, Super HotTerraria, and Limbo.

Build, improve and prosper in HandyGames' Townsmen.

Coming to Steam November 30, 2016, Townsmen will be available in 11 languages and will require Windows 7 or higher to play. Pricing information for the town builder on PC has not yet been released.
