A Tower of Fantasy Steam release is just around the corner, with the open-world RPG landing on Valve's platform on October 20th. On that very same day, a huge update, which will add a brand new region and plenty more content to the game, is also arriving across all platforms.
Yes, it's finally official: Tower of Fantasy arrives on Steam in just over two weeks. At the moment, it's only available via direct PC download or on Android and iOS via their respective app stores, so if you've been waiting for Tower of Fantasy to come to Steam, you don't have much longer to wait.
As well as the Steam release, a massive Tower of Fantasy update is also scheduled to arrive on October 20th. It's bringing lots of new content with it, including the arid desert region of Vera, which contains the floating cyberpunk city of Mirroria. Tower of Fantasy developer Hotta Studio has also given an update on how development is progressing. The studio says that it's still working on "fair operation and anti-cheating", acknowledging that hackers are still a problem for the game but pledging "continuous communication" with the community in order to address that issue.
Hotta also says it's looking into the "ambitious" goal of achieving parity between the global and Chinese versions of Tower of Fantasy, but that the event schedule could be adjusted to give players a "more comfortable experience". The issue of the Chinese version's collaborations is also addressed; Hotta says that "copyright barriers" might prevent the global version of the game from getting these collabs, but that "other collaboration events and characters" could be coming in the future.
