Level Infinite and Hotta Studio released a new trailer showcasing the next Simulacrum that will come via gacha in its anime-style MMORPG Tower of Fantasy.
The trailer reveals Lan and her weapon named Vermillion Bird. Lan is a flame simulacrum and a defensive type, and she will be released on March 30 alongside the new update numbered 2.4 and titled "Under the Grand Sea."
Incidentally, her Japanese voice actress is the Maaya Uchida, known as Ysayle Dangoulain in Final Fantasy XIV, Zero in Drakengard 3, Shizuna Rem Misurugi in The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki, Fischl in Genshin Impact, Megumi Yakushiji in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim,
You can take a look at the trailer in Englishb below and on top of the Japanese version if you prefer to hear Uchida-san's voice.
If you're unfamiliar with the concept of Simulacrums, they are unlockable characters that players can swap to, changing to their fighting style, weapons, and abilities. They're the foundation of the game's gacha system.
Tower of Fantasy is free-to-play with optional microtransactions and currently available for PC, iOS, and Android, including a recently-released Steam version. Its developers have been rather consistent in updating it with new content since its release, and just recently we saw the addition of the new simulacrums Annabella, Alyss, Alyss, Umi, and Fenrir to the growing roster.
If you're interested in the game, it's a sci-fi MMORPG set on the far-away planet Aida, devastated by a cataclysm that destroyed most of the colony established by mankind centuries before. The players have to survive in this hostile environment among the ruins of civilization against increasingly aggressive and mutated monsters, while exploring a mysterious story full of intrigue and adventure.
Recently, we also heard that Tower of Fantasy is getting mobile ray tracing support.
