Fantasy battle simulator Total War: WARHAMMER II has received a new, free update to go along with the recent The Prophet & The Warlock DLC. The Doomsayer update adds some brand new features as well as a few tweaks and balanced to improve the game. One of the biggest new features of the update is adding the two new DLC factions, clan Skryre and the Cult of Sotek, as AI players even for those who haven't purchased the DLC. This makes it possible to come across the DLC factions on the field and in the diplomacy menu.

A very interesting new feature for the update is the inclusion of a new type of building for Skaven factions known as Undercities. The undercity is a type of settlement which Skaven can build in secret beneath any other settlement, even ones they don't own. These hidden settlements can be used to bolster resources as well as to attack besieged cities from the inside, but players must do their best to ensure that their constructions remain secret. As more and more buildings are added to each undercity the chance of being discovered increases unless they are hidden by other stealth buildings.

The new update also sees some massive balance changes to the campaign mode. AI players will now spend their money more efficiently than before, as well as tending towards spending rather than saving their resources. AI factions also no longer gain a bonus during auto-resolve battles in the ongoing balancing of the campaign as the amount of enemy and player factions gets larger and larger. These new updates are live right now as well as the new The Prophet & The Warlock DLC. You can check out all of the patch notes here.
