In Rise of the Tomb Raider Lara stumbles upon some of her Father's notes on immortality. This compels her to go out and seek the answers to his research on her own. To obtain this secret will be no easy task though as it will require Lara to face off against an enemy operation known as Trinity. You will start the game with only a pickaxe as you will need to forage for supplies on the mountains. We see Lara collecting wood into a pile and even going to scavenge off a dead deer.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Weapon Customization

Wildlife is everywhere in the game as you will not only face bears and wolves but even the odd cheetah. To ensure survival you will need to craft items and weapons, stockpile health regenerating supplies and upgrading your current gear. When you hunt you gain experience to upgrade your gear, and even the pelts of the animals you kill will be used for upgrade trees. Emphasis seems to be heavily placed on the need to have a variety of tools and weapons at your disposal if you want to be ready for everything. The upgrade system seems to take some elements from the original game but has built upon it quite a bit.

There are hub spaces that will be two times larger than any of the hub areas from the previous games. Here you will be able to complete difficult challenge tombs and even be given special quests by the locals, known as the Remnants. Completing these quests for the Remnants will not only just get you experience but you can also get items, weapons and even access to previously unavailable areas of the game.

That's all the information given in the first episode of Woman vs Wild but in the next installment information about how gunplay will work will be revealed. Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available on the 10th of November for the Xbox One and eventually release for the PlayStation 4.

What do you think of Rise of the Tomb Raider? Are you excited to see where Lara goes next? What part of the game are you most looking forward to?
