Crystal Dynamics and porting studio Aspyr have announced Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered, a collection of remasters of classic Tomb Raider games that's set to release in February.
In a post on the official Tomb Raider website, Crystal Dynamics celebrates the 28th anniversary of the franchise (which feels like a rather odd milestone to celebrate), as well as revealing that the series as a whole has sold over 100 million units worldwide since its inception.
Per the post, the new collection will include Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, all of which will receive Aspyr's customary glow-up in terms of visuals and controls.
All three games will, according to Crystal Dynamics, include the ability to switch between the classic visuals and the modern overhauls on the fly, as well as a choice between "new modern controls" and classic Tomb Raider-style tank controls.
Quality-of-life improvements have also been added across the board, like boss health bars, a Photo Mode, and achievements and trophies on supported platforms (sorry, Nintendo Switch players).
This collection follows on from Aspyr's remasters of the first three Tomb Raider games, which were announced back in September last year and released earlier this year.
It'll be interesting to see how Aspyr handles porting and remaster work on 2003's Angel of Darkness, which is widely regarded as a drastic misfire among the Tomb Raider community, albeit one with a huge amount of potential.
This set of remasters is also just one in a long line of classic PS1-era ports handled by Aspyr; others include the upcoming Soul Reaver collection, as well as Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles and more.
Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered launches for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on February 14th, which means you can pick it up alongside Date Everything! for a nice change of pace.
