Wired Productions and Rogue Sun have released a new Tin Hearts trailer, which confirms the game's upcoming April release date. It's a suitably cute teaser for the game proper, which will offer more than 50 levels of puzzle adventure gameplay on PC and consoles.

If you're not familiar with Tin Hearts, it's a charming-looking puzzler from Rogue Sun, which is partly made up of ex-Lionhead devs. True to form, then, the new Tin Hearts trailer boasts an English voiceover to rival that of Fable, and it shows off the game's quaint aesthetic. You can take a look at the new trailer right here.

The narrator of the trailer describes his experience joining the "Eighth Regiment" of tin soldiers. It's a cute framing device for explaining the core concept behind the gameplay, which looks pretty strongly reminiscent of Lemmings. You'll have to direct your tin soldiers around detailed dioramas of various rooms, using vehicles, gadgets, and other objects to help them accomplish their goals.

If you'd like to go hands-on with Tin Hearts, you can sign up for the closed PC beta, which runs between February 10th and 14th, right here. You'll need to be over 13 years old, and you'll need to provide your name and email address, as well as a few other bits of information. Once that's done, you'll be notified if you've been chosen to participate. If you like, you can also sign up for other upcoming betas like Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles and Tiny Troopers: Global Ops.

Tin Hearts is due to arrive on PC, PlayStation consoles, Xbox platforms, and Nintendo Switch on April 20th. You can wishlist the game right now on Steam if you want to keep up with its progress between now and its release, and if you'd like to go more hands-on with the Tin Hearts community, you can join the game's Discord server, where you'll have "full access to speak directly with the developers", apparently.
