According to Phil Spencer's twitter feed, there is an unannounced Xbox One exclusive coming in 2014. When asked on Twitter if there were any unannounced Xbox One exclusive games releasing this year, the head of Microsoft game studios responded: "Had to think about this: out this year, unannounced and exclusive. Yes."
While it is unclear as to what game this will be there are a few logical guesses. There have been multiple rumors that Halo 2: Anniversary will be coming out this fall while Halo 5 will be delayed to 2015. Technically, Microsoft has not announced Halo 2: Anniversary which means it could be the game that Spencer is referencing. Another rumor has Forza Horizon 2 releasing this fall, which could also be the game Spencer is talking about. Spencer never specified if there was only one unannounced exclusive or possibly more, so its possible both of those games could be due out in 2014.
The Xbox One currently has quite a few confirmed exclusives coming out in 2014 including Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive. Quantum Break is the next game from the developer Remedy, who are best known for making Max Payne 1 and 2 as well as Alan Wake on the Xbox 360. Sunset Overdrive comes from Insomniac, the studio best known for it's Playstation exclusive titles like Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, and Resistance. If both Halo 2: Anniversary and Forza Horizon 2 do come out this fall that would make the fall of 2014 very busy for Microsoft as both Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive are targeted as fall or holiday releases in 2014.
What do you think the unannounced exclusive Xbox One game or games are? More Kinect titles? Or do you think that Halo 2: Anniversary and Forza Horizon 2 are the more likely candidates? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
