Software update 10.00 will bring a variety of new features to the Tesla family of electric cars, including the likes of a karaoke mode, improvements to maps and GPS, and an upgrade to the Smart Summon feature that brings your car straight to you. But one of the more surprising features found in the update is the ability to play Cuphead via the Tesla Arcade application. By plugging in USB controllers, up to two players can experience the run and gun game's first level as both Cuphead and Mugman.
Being ported to a car isn't the only exciting news coming from the world of Cuphead. As per a Tweet found on the game's creator's official Twitter Page the game has also managed to sell 5 million units since its release in 2017. To celebrate this milestone, the game's producer Studio MDHR is holding five days of Cuphead related content, starting with 20% off the title on all platforms for the next week. New art also accompanied the announcement which can be found below.
First announced in 2013 by developer StudioMDHR, and released in September of 2017, Cuphead is a run and gun game with graphics inspired by American animation of the 1920s and 30s. The title, which was first released for the Xbox One and later ported to the Nintendo Switch and MacOS, sees players take on the role of Cuphead as he attempts to win back his soul from the devil himself after a wager goes wrong at a casino.
An update to the game was announced at E3 2018, with a 2019 release date, that would bring a new playable female character to the game. However, as of E3 2019, the DLC was pushed back to a 2020 release in order to avoid putting to much pressure on its developers and avoid heavy periods of crunch.
