Nacon has announced a Terminator: Survivors delay, pushing back the upcoming survival game from October this year to an indeterminate point in 2025.
Per a Steam post, the launch will be pushed back to next year in order for Nacon to "realize [its] vision" and to give it time to "deliver the game that fits your expectations". The studio says it recognizes the delay will be disappointing, but that in order to "do right by this universe, its fans, and our community", it's a necessary delay.
Sadly, no new release date has been announced yet, so it looks like you're going to have to wait a little while to get your chance to prove whether you'd last in a world controlled by Skynet.
Terminator: Survivors was originally unveiled during this year's Nacon Connect presentation, which took place back in February. The game is set during the "aftermath" of Judgment Day, the event during which artificial intelligence system Skynet gained sentience and wiped out billions of human beings in the world of the Terminator movies.
Four years after the bombs fall, you (and, optionally, your friends, if you're playing in co-op) must scour Terminator: Survivors' open world for resources in order to survive, upgrade your base, and perhaps mount a counterattack against the machines.
You will be able to fight machines if you so desire, but it might be better to find a way to sneak around them in order to conserve resources (and, perhaps more importantly, your life).
You won't just be going up against Skynet's machines, either; you'll also have to contend with other scavengers, who will be competing with you for resources and space.
Sadly, we no longer know exactly when Terminator: Survivors will be launching, but we do know it'll be arriving sometime in 2025. Stay tuned for more as and when we get it.
