At San Diego Comic Con, Telltale have revealed some more information about season 3 of their Walking Dead adventure game. Dennis Lenart the Creative Director of The Walking Dead along with the actress that plays Clementine, Melissa Hutchison took to the stage in order to give some more details The Walking Dead Season 3.

Adding to what was revealed at E3, screenshots, and new characters details, as well as some of the themes that will be part of the story were divulged.

We had already learned a bit about newcomer Javier back at E3, and now we have been given a bit of insight into the character. Javier has no prior relationship to Clementine, because of this it may allow for some interesting development for her character. Adding to that we learned, Javier will be trying to "keep his family together" during the undead apocalypse. It was also confirmed that AJ, Rebecca's son from Season 2, will be returning.

Both Clementine and Javier will be playable over the course of the season, but it may not be during the same frame of time.

It's interesting to note that Telltale are saying Season 3 will be a good "entry point" for players who haven't played the other games in the series. Whether this is true or not we can only wait and see. A feature from these games is the ability to transfer your save from the last game to the new one allowing your choices to be carried on. However, the actual impact of your choices in these games are often debated due to Telltale's focus on narrative choices over plot effecting ones in general. This in mind it will be interesting to see if it is actually a good point for players new to the series to start.

The Walking Dead Season 3 is set to come out this year on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, as well as Android and IOS.
