Finally Telltale Games shows us the first informations about "Game of Thrones - A Telltale series". They do it with a post on the official blog, where we can finally see where this new episodic game series will bring us.

Telltale's spin on the universe of Game of Thrones, will see as main characters 5 members from the House Forrester, loyal followers of the Stark of Winterfell. This is a house that never showed up in the TV show, but it appeared in "A dance with Dragons". That means that it's canon. The game will play from the different points of view of the 5 main characters that are scattered all across both Westeros and Essos and they'll try to save the House Forrester from the ruin.

Following the lasting tradition of these kind of games, the game will react to the choices that the player makes during the playthrough and change accordingly. The fact that this time we'll control 5 characters, however, will add a new spin at this mechanic. The decisions and choices we make with any of the Forrester, will have repercussions on the other 4 in some way. "This is because the actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester. Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you're truly playing the Game of Thrones…where you win, or you die.", promises Telltale.

In our exploration of Westeros, we'll visit some of the most notorious places of the books, like The Wall or King's Landing, as well as new zones never showed on TV like Ironrath, House Forrester's stronghold.

Ironrath sits on the edge of the largest ironwood forest in Westeros, which has proven to be a strategic advantage for the House. The trees are a valuable commodity; many of the best weapons, ships, and defensive structures include the use of ironwood. House Forrester controls the majority of the ironwood forests in the Wolfswood, much to the chagrin of their bitter rivals, House Whitehill.
The premiere episode of the series will be titled "Iron from Ice" and will be the first of 6. It will arrive for download soon on on PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and iOS, with additional platforms to be announced.
