It seems that the world still isn't quite done with Telltale games as word begins to spread around the internet for a Telltale Batman Shadow Edition. The original Telltale Batman ran for two seasons and both were fairly well received. Word first started stirring earlier today when a twitter user Sabi started posting about the incoming announcement. As seems to be common at this time the game also appeared on the Australian Classifications Board.

It wasn't long that a press release was released on the Athlon Games website. At the time of writing the press release has already been taken down but as is expected on the internet it was already copied elsewhere. Telltale Batman Shadows Edition will combine the two seasons of the original game into one bundle and add a new noir-style visual to the game.

Jamie Ottilie, CEO of Telltale Games included the following statement

We’re excited to be able to build and continue the legacy of an iconic Telltale Games franchise by launching The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition today. This is just the beginning in a much more expansive plan to build on our catalog of Telltale Games titles, which we hope to discuss in further detail in the coming months.

The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, Epic Game Store, and Nintendo Switch for $29.99 and the added Shadows Mode will come as DLC for $4.99 to those who already own the game.

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
