Bandai Namco has announced a Tekken 8 closed beta for next month, potentially giving you a chance to try out the upcoming fighting game for yourself. Participants for the beta will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis, and you'll get a chance to try out a sample of what Tekken 8 has to offer.

On the official Tekken 8 closed beta website, Bandai Namco lays out the rules for participation. There will be two test periods: July 21st through July 24th on PS5 only, and then July 28th through July 31st across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, with a brief maintenance period taking place on July 29th.

So, what will the closed beta contain? You'll get to try out 16 fighters across 5 stages, which should give you a good idea of how Tekken 8 will play and who your main might be when it eventually launches. The trailer also confirms the appearance of the suave Italian fighter Claudio Serafino in the game, which is a plus.

If you want to register for the closed network test, you'll have to sign up for an account with Bandai Namco, which you can either do by using your email address or by signing in via Google. Once that's done, just pick your platform - PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S - and you're on the list. You'll then be notified if you're chosen to try out the Tekken 8 closed network beta.

Judging by the trailer, some of the characters you'll get to try out in the test include the iconic wrestler King, the disciplined martial artist Leroy, and everyone's favorite goofy blonde Paul Phoenix, among others. It's not clear what stages you'll be able to try out, but stages shown in the trailer seemingly include some sort of industrial facility, a neon-drenched city, and an overgrown cave.

Tekken 8 is set for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game still doesn't have a release date, so hopefully, we'll learn more about it in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for the latest on this exciting fighting title.
