Tekken 7 has done pretty well for itself, as Bandai Namco has announced that the latest Tekken title has reached 8 million copies sold. To celebrate the milestone, Tekken 7 Definitive Edition has been announced, which unlike other editions will include every character, stage, and feature originally included in the season passes and DLC.

Tekken 7 has received steady updates since its original release in 2017. It's also received four season passes and 19 DLC's in total. That's a lot, but it's also a fighting game so it's not like fighting fans aren't used to being nickled and dimed by now. There's also a Legendary Edition that was recently released to add to the confusion.

Confused? Well, the Tekken 7 Definitive Edition ($109.99) is a digital release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One that has all the content. Tekken 7 Legendary Edition is a physical release for PS4 and Xbox One that has some of the DLC and season passes. Which content? Well, 8 of 15 DLC characters are included, which means that some of the characters per season won't be available, which is bizarre. Basically, all of the guest characters not part of the Tekken franchise aren't included, so Geese Howard, The Walking Dead's Negan, Leroy, Noctis, Fahkumram, and Lidia are not part of the Legendary Edition.

To further add to the confusion, there's also Tekken 7: Originals Edition ($89.99) that includes the full game and 12 Tekken original character packs. This bonus DLC includes Eliza, Anna Williams, Lei Wulong, Craig Marduk, Armor King, Julia Chang, Zafina, Ganryu, Leroy Smith, Fahkumram, Kunimitsu, and Lidia Sobieska.

To cut to the chase: do you want everything? Get the Tekken 7 Definitive Edition. Forget any other edition exists. Can't afford the more expensive Tekken 7 Definitive Edition? Well, Tekken 7 ($49.99) still exists, but you'll have to pay an arm and a leg for all the DLC.
