Today at EVO 2014, a fighting game tournament, Bandai Namco have announced the next in the Tekken series of fighting games, aptly called Tekken 7. The game will be built upon the Unreal 4 Engine, this has been explained because it is able to deliver the graphics expected of a next gen console but will also be easily portable to any other platform capable of supporting the engine.

The trailer doesn't show any gameplay but does give an idea of what the story will focus on. The trailer shows a woman talking about Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima, we see a stand off between the two with Kazuya stating "You killed my mother!" The most important part of this trailer is the ending with Japanese writing of "Heihachi and Kazumi" revealing that the woman at the start of the trailer was Kazumi the wife of Heihachi and mother of Kazuya a character who has never been named in the series or appeared in any of the Tekken games.
