Tekken 7's rather overpowered Wing Chun specialist Leroy

Bandai Namco has revealed some exciting new features coming to Tekken 7 in an update that goes live today. The studio announced the news at this weekend's EVO Japan fighting game tournament, where it also shared some info about an upcoming fighter for Soulcalibur VI.

First up, there's a new Replays & Tips feature coming to Tekken 7. This feature will allow you to check out replays of your matches so you can examine what you did well and correct what went wrong. In fact, the Tips function will help you do just that; it'll offer tips on how you can improve your performance. Good news for those of us who are routinely getting owned on the online circuit.

Next up in Tekken 7 news, Bandi Namco has released a new developer diary. This time around, the devs are talking about the development process behind two new characters: Wing Chun practitioner Leroy Smith and Muay Thai fighter Fahkumram. If you've fallen foul of Leroy recently, rejoice, because the new update will also add some balance adjustments to take a look at Leroy's overpowered state. Check out the developer diary below:

It's not just Tekken 7-related news this week, though. If you're a Soulcalibur VI fan, you'll want to take a look at the brand new gameplay trailer for upcoming DLC fighter Haohmaru. Soulcalibur is well-known for its crossover appearances; previous instalments have included fighters like The Legend of Zelda's Link and Tekken's Heihachi Mishima. Samurai Shodown's Haohmaru joins The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia in the Soulcalibur VI crossover stakes. Here's Haohmaru's gameplay trailer:

Tekken 7 and Soulcalibur VI are both available right now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Update 3.2 for Tekken 7 lands today. We don't yet have a release date for Soulcalibur VI's Haohmaru, so watch this space for more info.

Are you looking forward to checking out Haohmaru? Have any horror stories of battling Leroy in Tekken 7? Let us know in the comments below!
