Saturday, November 7th is Extra Life's Game Day 2015. Gaming enthusiasts from around the world will be coming together in order to support Extra Life, and this year TechRaptor will be joining the effort!

Extra Life was formed in 2008 by Jeromy "Doc" Adams in memory of Victoria Jo Enmon. Miss Enmon lost her battle to leukemia in 2008 at the age of 15. What was initially conceived as a drive to get video games out to one young lady fighting leukemia has blossomed into an organization that has helped countless children who are fighting terrible diseases. Participants in Extra Life's charitable efforts have raised $14 million for Children's Miracle Network hospitals since since the organization's creation.

TechRaptor staff will be streaming video games for 24 hours straight on twitch.tv/techraptor. We're aiming for a goal of $500. You can donate to TechRaptor's Extra Life Team at this page. 100% of the money we raise goes directly to Children's Miracle Network hospitals to use however they see fit. Children's Miracle Network has raised over $5 billion as an organization since it was founded in 1983.

Right now a variety of staff are taking some time to stream with us. Confirmed streamers include Stream Lead Kevin Parsons, Senior Writers Kindra Pring and Andrew Stretch, Staff Writers Jason Ashman, and Candy Lebby, news Editor Don Parsons, and site owner Rutledge Daugette. Others will definitely appear in chat either voice or text, and some multiplayer games are expected as well. Some titles you can expect: Shining Force 2Ori and the Blind Forest, and Jackbox Party Pack among many others!

The easiest way to support our efforts is to share our Extra Life Team Page on social media. You can also let your friends and family know that we'll be streaming all day on November 7th at twitch.tv/techraptor. You can see the goal and how well we've done also on TechRaptors page to the right - with us having raised $100 so far at time of publishication of our $500 goal even before we get to the big

TechRaptor will also be giving away video games every hour during the stream. We'll be giving away titles such as Westerado: Double Barreled (which was reviewed by Alex Santa-Maria), The Stanley Parable, Brawlhallaand many more! There will be additional giveaways when we reach certain donation milestones. Donating at least $1 to our fundraising effort will make you eligible for a big raffle that we'll be having at the conclusion of the stream.

Have you ever donated to Extra Life or Children's Miracle Network? Have you, a family member, or friend ever had to spend time at a children's hospital? Tell us about your experiences in the comments below!
