The Teamfight Tactics Galaxies Pass is Bringing New Content and Cosmetics

The Teamfight Tactics Galaxies Pass is going to be leaving beta soon, finally debuting a Battle Pass for this League of Legends auto chess analogue.

If you haven't been keeping up with Teamfight Tactics, the game has been steadily releasing content ever since it was launched last year. However, the developers really haven't changed much in the way you fundamentally unlock cosmetics. That will soon be changing as the Galaxies Pass gets rolled out to gamers around the world.

It should be noted that not all details are final and that a free option will be available for players who aren't quite ready to spend a few bucks. But how will this new battle pass work exactly?

How Will the Teamfight Tactics Galaxies Pass Work?

The first big thing to note is that there will be two versions of this Teamfight Tactics battle pass: the Galaxies Pass and the Galaxies Pass+.

Both passes are going to share a rewards track. As an example, Levels 1, 2, and 4 might unlock free items and Levels 3 and 5 will unlock premium items. The players on the free version of the pass won't get the premium items, but any earned premium rewards will be immediately unlocked upon purchase of the Galaxies Pass +.

This effectively gives you the option to retroactively participate in the premium battle pass — level up as much as you want and decide if the premium rewards you've already earned are worth the money (nevermind what else is coming in the future).

Upgrading to Galaxies Pass+ still has plenty of benefits, though. You'll immediately get access to more than 20 levels of rewards. You'll also score the sweet UFO sprite seen in our header image, and you'll be able to work your way up to the 1-star and 2-star Molediver Astronaut Molediver variant.

The Teamfight Tactics Galaxies Pass will be available for 1,350 Riot Points; that works out to a little less than ten bucks if you buy the smallest prepaid card. This first battle pass will be gradually rolling out around the world and will last until June 9, 2020, at 2:00 PM Eastern. You can read more about it on the game's official website, but that's not all that's happening today in Teamfight Tactics!

Also Arriving Today: Teamfight Tactics Patch 10.5

Also arriving today is Teamfight Tactics Patch 10.5. The biggest new info is that the Rise of the Elements Ranked Season will be concluding at the end of this patch; Ranked will pick back up again right away when the 10.6 patch drops.

Three-star champions are getting some buffs. Diana, Syta, Rek'sai, Dr. Mundo, and Lux are all getting boosts in various areas when they reach the top tier.

That's not to say that other champions are being left out, mind. Diana and Leona are getting boosts to their shield duration, Syndra and Ezreal's spell damage is going up, and several other buffs (along with one or two nerfs) are also going through. You can read more about these changes in the patch notes.

What do you think of the Teamfight Tactics Galaxies Pass? Are you excited for the changes coming to the game in Patch 10.5? Let us know in the comments below!
