We take a look at plenty of combat, menus, and just a hint of cutscenes. You can enjoy the trailer below.
If you're unfamiliar with Tales of Symphonia, it's the fifth game of the Tales series, originally released in 2003 for Nintendo GameCube and then ported to PS2 the following year. It then landed on PS3 and PC respectively in 2013 and 2016.
It tells the story of a Lloyd Irving and Genis Sage, tasked to accompany the chosen, Colette Brunel, in a "journey of world regeneration" aimed at replenishing the mana of their world Sylvarant. As they perform their task, they meet Sheena Fujibayashi who comes from a parallel world named Tethe'alla, and they discover that (like in most JRPGs of old) there is more to their mission and the nature of their worlds than meets the eye.
It's one of the most generally beloved among Tales games, featuring charming character design by Ah my Goddess mangaka Kosuke Fujishima and beautiful music by acclaimed composer Motoi Sakuraba.
Tales of Symphonia Remastered releases on February 17, 2023, for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
