While Tales of Arise has been out for well over a year, many fans haven't forgotten about it just yet, and there's one more way to keep the memories fresh in Japan.
Tokyo-based manufacturer Fairytail released two sets of perfumes inspired by the characters of the game, each featuring two party members. One takes inspiration from Kisara and Dohalim (who incidentally, is getting his own figure soon), while the other is inspired by Rinwell and Law.
Not only the fragrances are inspired by the characters, but they come in cute bottles with metallic pendants and colors resembling the heroes of the game, so they make for interesting collectibles if you're a fan and you don't care to wear them.
The sets are already available in stores in Japan. Each is priced at 5,500 yen and includes two 50 ml bottles of perfume. The price translates to approximately $42, but it's unlikely that you'll be able to purchase them outside of Japan.
Incidentally, this isn't the first time Fairytail releases perfume sets dedicated to Tales of Arise. The first set featuring protagonists Shionne and Alphen was released in June 2022.
If you're unfamiliar with Tales of Arise, the game was released in September 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, following a delay from the initially planned launch in 2020. It has been well received by fans and critics including our very own Robert Scarpinito, who praised the combat, cast, world, and more in our review.
At the moment, we don't know where the franchise is going after Tales of Arise. Bandai Namco has remained quiet about any possible future chapters of the series. Tales of Arise was announced in 2019, three years after the release of Tales of Berseria. This means that we may have to wait quite a lot longer before we hear about the next mainline Tales game.
