Today Microids announced that Benoît Sokal's beloved classic adventure series Syberia is being adapted into an animated series.
According to the announcement shared via press release, the animation will be handled by What The Prodm which will closely work with Microids to ensure that the adaptation meets the expectations of the series' fans.
The press release includes a comment from Elliot Grassiano, Microids Founder and COO.

We are delighted to partner up with What The Prod to offer Syberia’s fans a fantastic visual experience, capturing the soul of this iconic franchise to perfection. This series will be a new opportunity for players and new spectators to discover or re-discover Syberia’s fascinating world.

My husband would have been honored to witness his work being developed as an animated series. With Syberia, he created a magical and out of time world and I am glad it will reach a new audience with this new adaptation.

If you're unfamiliar with Syberia, it's a classic series of adventure games created by Benoît Sokal and launched in 1999 with Amerzone and followed in 2002 by the first Syberia. The latest installment of the series is Syberia: The World Before,released last year.
