Today Bandai Namco released a new trailer of the upcoming anime-inspired JRPG Sword Art Online Last Recollection.
The trailer focuses on showcasing the three difficulty levels available, Story Mode, Normal Mode, and Hard Mode. Each will include progressively more difficult enemies that will also drop better gear more often. Depending on the mode you'll select, you'll be expected to take advantage of more and more of the game's mechanics to beat the enemies. Of course, this doesn't mean you can't use advanced mechanics if you select lower difficulty levels, but you can get away without doing so if you so wish.
You can watch the trailer below.
In case you missed the original announcement made back in November, the game is a retelling of the Sword Art Online Alicization: War of Underworld arc of the anime and is set in the Dark Territory of Underworld. It will also serve as a sequel to Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris.
Sword Art Online Last Recollection is coming for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on October 6, 2023. If you want to see more, you can take a look at the previous story trailer, another video focusing on the comparison with the previous title, and another providing an overview of the game. The game will feature over 40 playable characters and promises "MMO-like multiplayer" and "the largest number of unique endings" ever featured in the long-running Sword Art Online series.
