The Surviving the Aftermath Expansion Pass has been announced, detailing the next batch of content for Iceflake Studios and Paradox Interactive's new survival colony sim.
Surviving the Aftermath is a game that's about... well, surviving the aftermath. Specifically, this is a game about building a thriving town in the wake of an apocalyptic disaster. It was first announced back in 2019 and arrived on Steam a little more than a year later, shortly after Paradox Interactive acquired its developer. Now, Iceflake Studios and Paradox Interactive have detailed the post-launch content that players can look forward to.
What's Coming in the Surviving the Aftermath Expansion Pass?
Naturally, the big focus for the Surviving the Aftermath Expansion Pass is a boatload of new content coming to the game. Iceflake and Paradox didn't go into too much detail just yet, but they did give us a small teaser.
The Expansion Pass will consist of "the first three full expansions" for the game. Each DLC is going to give you new ways to manage your colony. As with most Season Passes, people who purchase this content pack will be able to download their new goodies as soon as they're available. More details for each of these three pieces of DLC will be released as we get closer to their individual launch dates.
Unfortunately, it's not all good news -- the devs caution that the Nintendo Switch version is giving them some technical problems in today's announcement. This may result in a slightly later release schedule for the platform to ensure that it's at an acceptable level of quality.
That aside, there's still tons of fun to be had in the game right now! You can buy Surviving the Aftermath for PC and consoles via its official website starting at $24.99 or your regional equivalent. Now's as good a time as any to grab it -- it leaves Early Access in less than two weeks.
