Survival strategy game Dark Moon has been announced in a press release from developer Jujubee S.A.

In Dark Moon, players find themselves in command of a colony on a moon. What's particularly unique about this game is that your base can walk. Check out the game's announcement trailer to see what it's all about:

Basically, the sun got a little bit too hot and spewed white-hot fire at Earth, putting the state of the planet into question. Fortunately, you've been in command of a walking base on the moon and you were lucky enough to find yourself on the dark side.

Now that communications with Earth are toast, it's up to you to manage your crew and keep them both sane and alive as you try to eke out a living on Earth's biggest natural satellite and hopefully restore contact with home.

What Can You Do in Dark Moon?

The key to your survival in Dark Moon is the Mechaplex, a walking base that serves as the center of your operations. The sun is always coming towards you and you'll have to keep moving, planning accordingly for the next few steps lest you find yourself in a bad spot. Not only can the Mechaplex move — you can also build new buildings on top of it. These will help you process various resources and develop new technologies to make your survival even more efficient.

A machine isn't much without the crew to run it, and managing your crew will also be a factor in this game. Do you team up with the wayward miners that you discover out in the wild? Do you risk trying to rescue a trapper engineer in an abandoned base? Some will agree with your decisions and others won't so choose carefully.

Dark Moon seems like a pretty neat idea as far as survival strategy games go. You'll be able to get your hands on it when it launches on Steam sometime in June 2020. In the meantime, you can add it to your wishlist on Steam.

What do you think of Dark Moon? Does the idea of a survival strategy game where you must always keep moving appeal to you, or do you prefer a more chill experience? Let us know in the comments below!
