The next trailer shown at the Future Games Show is for an upcoming survival horror game Maid of Sker from Wales Interactive. Set in 1898 and based on the story of Elizabeth Williams, a horror story originating from Wales.

The player will have to explore a hotel to try to found out the truth behind the tale, but there will be plenty trying to stop you from making it out alive. The enemies that you'll find in the hotel are all completely blind but have excellent senses of hearing. Any noise you make, even breathing, will lead them to you. Whether you're creeping around slowly or trying to not pass out while holding your breath you need to be very aware of your surroundings. Your only protection from them is a sonic based weapon that you'll get limited ammunition for through the game. Wales Interactive is focusing on keeping the horror in survival horror bringing the genre back to its roots.

Ben Tester, Head of Marketing at Wales Interactive, spoke briefly about the game and its origins as well as what they hope the player will experience as they play.

Maid of Sker will be releasing on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in June 2020. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will also be getting a physical release. You're able to wishlist the game now on Steam and will be able to pre-purchase the game soon.

What do you think of Maid of Sker? Is this going to scratch that horror itch that you've got? How do you think you would go in a world where making too much sound means certain death?
