Wanted to get some free stuff in sci-fi souls-like The Surge 2? Then good news, you can get it today. Additionally, new, paid, content will be making its way to the game sometime soon.

If you're just looking for free stuff then you can grab that starting today. Called the Future Shock Weapon, this pack contains four new weapons that you can use to tear various limbs off of your enemies as you see fit. Which weapons? Well, the Steam page for the pack helpfully lists them:

  • Mangled Articulators punching gloves
  • Golden Harvest double duty weapon
  • EFH heavy duty weapon

Additionally, a season pass is coming to The Surge 2. At the current time what exactly is included in said season pass is a mystery, but developer Deck 13 promises "more weapons, more implants, more gear sets, and a brand-new storyline" with "hours of content in a new environment." If that means outside of Jericho City, or just a new district, remains to be seen. However, it should provide some funs to fan of the main game. Deck 13 promises that more details on the season pass, including its content, release date, and price, will be announced sometime next week.

If you haven't played the game before, The Surge 2 is a souls-like action game that takes place in a science fiction setting. The game's big addition to the genre is the ability to cut off enemy limbs and utilize their equipment that they "drop" after you've done so.
