Overcrowd Early Access release date

The Overcrowd Early Access release date has been set. This upcoming game is an interesting little indie title that will have players building out their very own subway station from top to bottom. While it looks deceptively simple, anyone who's been on a big-city subway knows that things can quickly go sideways even with the best designs!

In Overcrowd: A Commute 'Em Up, players need to build their very own subway station in a system set in the fictional location of Lubdon Town. There's more to do than simply dig out some earth and lay down some track, though! You'll also have to manage the station, providing skilled staff and plenty of amenities for your travellers who badly need to get to work on time. You'll be able to play it soon enough: the Overcrowd Early Access release date is June 6, 2019.

Players will be able to execute these mechanics in a variety of different game modes. A procedural campaign will have players doing their damnedest to get the coveted 5 star rating for each of the levels. A sandbox mode will let you get right into the action without worrying about gradually progressing through the game, and a "Commute of the day" will give players a new unique level to play every day. It's a good bit different from stuff like Railroad Corporation, so it just goes to show that there's a lot of room for variety when it comes to train games.

Overcrowd: A Commute 'Em Up is the first title from SquarePlay Games to launch on Steam. The developer is currently focused on polish and bugfixes as we get closer to the Overcrowd Early Access release date of June 6, 2019. You can see some more scenes from the game on the developer's official Twitter. In the meantime, why not do the developer a solid and add this game to your wishlist on Steam? It looks pretty neat!

Update: The name of the city, the featured image, and the Early Access Trailer have been changed at the request of the developer to avoid potential legal issues.
