The Soulslike shooter will see its final piece of content release soon, and we now have a name. Remnant: From the Ashes' last piece of DLC will be called Subject 2923.
Launching on August 20th, 2020, we will conclude the story of Remnant: From the Ashes by defeating the Root for good. The Root is the antagonistic force prevalent throughout the game. To do so, it looks like we'll be heading to a brand new world called Reisum - one filled with snow, tribal-like villagers, and burly new enemies. This all takes place within an entirely new campaign for the game. Take a look at the trailer below.
Players can expect to have more weapons, armor, trinkets, and other items in Subject 2923. Furthermore, including the new snowy environment we'll explore, the official Steam we go back to Earth and fight within an old military base, as well as "rural lands." There will also be updates to the other existing game modes.
Stay tuned for more information on Remnant: From the Ashes - Subject 2923. Check out the game's Steam page. The DLC will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
I played this game last year when it launched. My thought remain that it's a solid Soulslike shooter with some truly stellar visual design, however I think it's lacking a bit in content. I suppose the "lack of content" is now remedied with this DLC, which seems to conclude the confusing ending of the base game and add some more content. As it stands, this is a fun game, and I think that Subject 2923 gives some reason to come back now.
