Street Fighter V will receive seven Halloween costumes and a retooled Halloween-themed stage as paid DLC on October 11th, according to the Capcom company blog.

The costumes for Alex, Cammy, Juri, Nash, Necalli, Ryu and Vega will be available for $3.99 on PlayStation 4 and PC from October 11th until November 29th. The redone stage can be purchased for $1.99 or for 40,000 units of the in-game currency, "fight money."

It was announced in September that the Street Fighter V Capcom Pro Tour content raised more than $90,000 to add to the Capcom Cup prize pool in the two months since its release.

Players can still download the alternate costumes for Cammy, Chun-Li and Necalli for $5.99 each, the Ring of Destiny stage for $9.99 or the Bundle, featuring an added color for the cast and two new titles, for $24.99.

Players can expect at least 30% of their spent money to directly support the Capcom Cup prize pool while another 50% of their funds directly support Capcom Pro Tour productions.

October marks seven straight months of DLC support for Street Fighter V. Two new characters were released in the past two months, the Capcom Pro Tour content was released in July, and the story mode released in June before that.

Alex, Balrog, Guile, Ibuki, Juri and Urien have been added to the roster for free throughout the past seven months.

Quick Take

The Halloween costumes look great. People can argue over pricing, but if a price tag of a couple of bucks talks you out of a purchase, you must not really want it.

As an avid consumer of Fighting Game Community media, I'm a little disappointed not to see continued support of the Capcom Pro Tour through DLC purchases. In all of their support through updates, among the noblest was giving the community at large the opportunity to help support the Capcom Pro Tour.

I like to see gaming companies support the competitive scenes that bolster their product's sales numbers and daily user bases, and every piece of paid DLC that lacks that support will be a disappointment to me.
