In a video question and answer posted today Image & Form answered some questions about their recent release SteamWorld Heist and what is coming up for the game in the near future in between silly puns and laughter. Early on the focus was more on what is coming or not coming with later on in the Q&A it going more onto general office stuff like what language they speak at the office or what their favorite snacks there are.
First up was asking what platform was next and the timeline there. Nothing really new came as it's just "very soon" and they haven't decided on which platform yet will have it.
Bigger news though was on the fact there is an upcoming update that will add onto the game for free. This will include 5 new languages supported for the game and will be French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Russian to make it more easily available in other nations. That update will also feature other goodies based on feedback for free that weren't described in the video but should address some of the issues players and reviewers had with the game - although you probably shouldn't expect for Nintendo 3DS a zooming into off screen for shots based on the hardware limitations they allude to.
What people have been wondering about as well was if SteamWorld Heist would be getting any DLC. While they play a bit coy with it, given they say in the text stay tuned for DLC news, it's probably safe to say there's some coming in the future but they are still working out how they want to do it. Part of what they want to make sure is that they aren't interfering with porting the game which is part of why there are no plans at this time for multiplayer at this time. They state it would take at least 6 months to add it while working on just that without anything else even for their team of 17-18 members.
If you want to learn more about SteamWorld Heist you can read our review which highly praised the game as a fantastic turn-based strategy title. Oh and if you want to see what they were talking about and get some smiles the video is below.

Some interesting behind the scenes stuff here joined up with a little bit of news about where SteamWorld Heist is going. Also to answer your question at the end of the video - PC next please. I'd like to play it on PC instead of on the constrained screen of the Nintendo 3DS!
