The Steam Top Releases January 2020 list has been revealed and it's utterly dominated by games from China, Japan, and Korea.
Valve likes to show off which games have done well on their platform, and January 2020 is off to a pretty good start according to a post on the Steam Blog.
What's particularly interesting about this batch of games is that the majority of them have come out of studios in Asia. The top game was Sands of Salzaar and came out of Han-Squirrel Studio in China, but that's not the only Asian release. In total, two of the top twenty games are from Chinese developers, seven are from Japanese developers, two are from South Korean developers, and one is from an Indonesian developer.
