Valve has announced yet another increase in the production of its latest console, the Steam Deck. This means that those who have had reservations for quite some time may be getting closer and closer to receiving the highly anticipated handheld gaming device.

Earlier this year, the Steam Deck supply chain took a huge hit, and Valve could not keep up with the demand for their console in a timely manner. Luckily, they have increased production and resolved said supply issues, so much so they have now beaten their estimated shipping dates for those still waiting. As of this latest update, Valve stated,

"As some folks on the internet have noticed (we see you Reddit!), we're speeding through reservations at an accelerated pace. This is due to increased production, and we've beaten our own estimates yet again."

As of right now, Valve is working on those with reservations for Q3, which are those who reserved from July to September. They go on to state that now that they have fulfilled the Q3 reservations earlier than anticipated, they are able to begin working on the next set of reservations which were scheduled for the Q4 bracket. So why is the Steam Deck so popular? This latest console allows those who have a Steam account to carry their PC games with them wherever they go! More so, the Steam Deck has nifty features to boot, such as the increased comfort thumbstick and trackpad controls. This means that the controls are placed in a precise position in order to cater to a variety of hand sizes. On top of that, the Steam Deck also shows the player how compatible each game in your library is with the handheld console, as some games are a little heftier than others. This makes it easier to choose the games that will run smoothly, compared to one that may run slightly under par compared to running on PC.
