A Steam page has apparently revealed the release date for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the upcoming sequel to 2019's rather good Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. According to the Steam page, we can expect the action-adventure title to launch in March.
Specifically, the Steam page points to March 16th as the release date for Respawn's game. It'll continue the story of Cal Kestis, who must face off against the Empire as he's driven to the edges of the galaxy and forced to reckon with the encroaching Dark Times. The game will bring new planets to explore, new fighting styles for your lightsaber, and more.
Prior to this inadvertent announcement, reports had suggested that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor would be featured at the upcoming Game Awards ceremony, which kicks off on Thursday. According to Jeff Grubb, a book that bridges the gap between Fallen Order and Survivor (which spans five years) is also launching in March alongside the game. Looks like those rumors were correct.
The world of Star Wars video games is a somewhat tumultuous one at the moment. A release date for Survivor is nice, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga arrives on Game Pass tomorrow, which is pretty cool. However, those boons are bittersweet in the light of an indefinite Knights of the Old Republic remake delay and Quantic Dream's Star Wars Eclipse apparently being many years away (although, given Quantic Dream's apparent failure to attract new talent with Eclipse and David Cage's alleged prior conduct, that might not be a bad thing).
