Today Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment revealed the "final" gameplay trailer of their upcoming action game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
While the trailer does show gameplay, and plenty of the lightsaber action you'd expect, it also still comes with cinematics, which should likely be expected with a game so focused on storytelling. Speaking of which, this follows a story trailer from a few weeks ago if you'd like to see more of that.
You can check out the new trailer below.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released on April 28, 2023, which is a bit over a month after the release date we originally expected, which was March 15, 2023. The announcement of the delay was made a few weeks ago.
If you'd like to read more about the game, you should definitely read our preview and our interview with senior producer Blair Brown and design director Jeff Magers.
The game is coming for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It was announced in January 2022, and it's the sequel of the critically-acclaimed single-player action-adventure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It's set five years after its predecessor as an older and more experienced Cal Kestis is still struggling to keep out of sight as the power of the Galactic Empire grows. It's directed by Stig Asmussen, previously known for his work on the God of War series.
The first game was especially well received due to its single-player nature and lack of game-as-a-service elements, which were certainly uncharacteristic for a title published by Electronic Arts. It'll be definitely interesting to see if the sequel will be equally successful.
