The developers at Spry Fox are thrilled to announce that they have joined Netlfix as the sixth in-house game studio. Along with this announcement, they revealed that they are working on another project; a non-violent MMO.
The devs at Spry Fox have created titles such as Cozy Grove, Alphabear 2, and Bushido Bear, all of which are vastly different in terms of genre and gameplay. They create very diverse styles of games that are not only fun but engaging. First announced on the Spry Fox official website, the developers stated the following about their choice in joining the large streaming service,
"What has become clear over the course of all of our adventures: We are a studio that builds original, world-class cozy games. Especially games that bring people together. And we are confident that Netflix is going to help us do that."
One of the weights they seem to be quite happy about lifting is the stress of being profitable. Rather than having to focus on how each game will generate a profit, they now will only need to focus on the development of the best games they can possibly create. More so, they will be able to collaborate with the other creative minds that Netlfix has to offer to not only produce fulfilling content but to learn from others at the company.
Now, what does this mean for the games they have already created? The devs say that they will remain on their original platforms, and in their current form. As for future titles, they state that they will continue working on Cozy Grove 2 as well as an unnamed non-violent MMO that they have yet to release very many details about. They ensure that their "developmental efforts" have not and will not change, they will just now be able to benefit from being under Netflix's wing.
