The Spiritfarer 2021 Roadmap has been revealed, detailing Thunder Lake Games' plans for new content throughout 2021 including a total of four new spirits, new boat buildings, a new island, and more.
Spiritfarer is a game where you take on the role of being the ferryman for the dead. You'll be able to explore a fantastical, otherworldly realm as you gather resources, build your boat to hilariously large proportions, and — most importantly — help a bunch of spirits find their way to the afterlife. Now, a bunch of brand-new content will be making its way to the game in 2021!
What's in the Spiritfarer 2021 Roadmap?
The Spiritfarer 2021 Roadmap (via Reddit) explains that there will be three big updates in 2021. Each update will arrive during a particular season and focus on one or two of the game's new characters. Here's what's on the way!
Lily Update – Spring 2021
Lily is the only spirit that's active during the night. Happily, her abilities also allow you to navigate your boat when it's dark. Aside from this first new spirit, co-op is getting some improvements; these include a brand-new UI and the ability to fish with a friend.
Beverly Update – Summer 2021
Beverly heralds the introduction of the Archive Room and the new Acetate Sheets collectible set. This update will also debut new boat buildings, although the developers didn't go into details on this part.
Jackie & Daria Update – Fall 2021
Finally, the Jackie & Daria Update introduces two colorful new spirits and a brand-new island. A new event will make its debut, and the boat will get some more buildings and resources as well.
