Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash!, a reboot of the original Dreamcast game, is going to be delayed until sometime in 2020.
If you haven't heard of Space Channel 5, then you've probably never owned a Dreamcast. You play as a news reported named Ulala in the 25th century who battles strange aliens with synchronized dancing. No, really — take a look at the PS4 trailer for this upcoming game to see the adorable weirdness in action.
Considering the success of games like Beat Saber, it's not a surprise that Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash! is being made today. Just Dance made millions with players striking poses through the use of motion controls, so why not dig up this unique IP and modernize it for the virtual reality era?
It certainly sounded like a fine idea, but it seems like it's not going to be making its original release date.
