For those who aren't in the know, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp has been delayed twice. The first time it was delayed from 2021 to Spring 2022 due to "more time for fine tuning" needed, and the second time it was delayed because it's probably not being a great idea to release a new Advance Wars title during the Russia-Ukraine War. This has left Advance Wars fans out in the cold, because the game is seeming ready to play - even though it's not available yet. How do we know this? A lucky Twitter user named Rachael has received access to it and has been playing the latest Advance Wars title.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is a fairly big exclusive for the Nintendo Switch, so it's strange that a mistake like this happened to just one person rather than many. Regardless, it's real and Rachael has been showing the game off over the past few days.

Basically, Rachael preordered the game back in February off the My Nintendo Store and preloaded it onto her Nintendo Switch Lite. It's not available for her original Nintendo Switch, which makes this whole story a little weirder. It seems that might be tied to being online but, that is speculating and only some engineers at Nintendo working away at solving the mystery may know the answer.
Nintendo has already sent an email to Rachael stating that they plan to cancel her purchase and refund her, but such a thing would only occur if Rachael were to connect her Nintendo Switch to the internet. You can't take away what's not available, and she's been slowly revealing more information about the game, like how Blue Moon and Olaf are in the first few missions of the campaign, which should come as a relief to fans who have been eagerly anticipating this remake. She also loves the animations and character designs on the Switch version, which is a good sign. We'll keep you posted if Rachael leaks more information about Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp.
