Sniper Ghost Warrior

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 has been announced by developer and publisher CI Games, with the game coming out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC this fall.

While it would be great to wax lyrical about this game and go on and on about the features that this game offers, CI Games is one of those companies that loves to announce games with just an image and a release date, leaving those of us writing about it out in the cold. I mean, that's literally all there is to know so far: that the game is coming out this fall for the present-gen systems and PC.

The previous game, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, is aggressively OK, like most of the series. We liked it at TechRaptor, giving it a 7.5/10. It's also been given a 68% average on OpenCritic, and it has a 76% rating on Steam. By all accounts, the last game was a decent sniper FPS that gave players a lot of freedom to do as they wished in order to complete the missions.

The first game in of itself isn't too complicated: you're given contracts to fulfill and you do so for a "fixed monetary reward".  Players will be given contracts that must be completed but it doesn't really matter how it's completed--just that it's done. There's a dynamic Reticle System--whatever that means--and players have the ability to scan their environment with their AR mask, use gadgets, and look around Siberia.

Judging by the cover for this latest game, it looks like it'll be more of the same but in the desert, possibly? We'll see.
