Rebellion has revealed the Sniper Elite: Resistance release date, and the latest game in the long-running sniping sim series is heading to PC and consoles early next year.
Launching on January 30th, Sniper Elite: Resistance casts you as Special Operations Executive agent Harry Hawker, who must put a stop to Nazi plans to create a brand new Wunderwaffe that's "so powerful, it guarantees the Nazis would win the war".
Resistance runs parallel to the fifth game in the series, and it takes you deep into the heart of occupied France, focusing on what Rebellion calls "the hidden war" far away from the front lines.

Since this is a Sniper Elite game, you can, according to Rebellion, expect "unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth, and tactical third-person combat", as well as a large degree of freedom regarding mission objectives.
Missions will also come complete with extra targets to kill, several different entry and exit points, and side missions to pursue, as well as a brand new style of mission in the form of Propaganda Missions.
These new missions will unlock when you discover a Propaganda poster hidden in each of the main campaign's levels. Discovering that poster will unlock a brand new mission in which you play as a resistance fighter.
Of course, Resistance will also feature Sniper Elite's classic, painfully detailed X-ray camera, akin to the sort of bone-shattering detail you'd find in a newer Mortal Kombat game. There's never been a better way to watch a Nazi's skull shatter.
A Deluxe Edition of Sniper Elite: Resistance will be available at launch as well, and if you pick that up, you'll net the Season Pass, which will bring further DLC later in 2025, as well as bonus weapons and two days' worth of early access to the game.
Sniper Elite: Resistance launches across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on January 30th, and it'll also be available on Game Pass on day one.
