When it comes to WWII games, Sniper Elite 5 is one of the more recent and is getting a new update. As the game has continued to develop and grow, issues have popped up with new patches being put in to fix them. The latest is Patch 1.06 which will be addressing some specific issues, balancing, and providing a new map to play.
Sniper Elite 5 Patch 1.06
Having been released earlier this year, Rebellion's Sniper Elite 5 has been performing well both critically and financially. The game focuses a lot on PvP, which leads to more bugs the more players are active. The devs have worked to tackle the problems that appear and Patch 1.06 includes fixes like nerfing the Invader in the frequently played invasion mode to have less gear and different skills. For additional balancing, players no longer earn XP just by entering invasion and the window between initiating invasions has been widened. The patch also re-works the AFK-timer to give idle players more time.
The patch is also giving players a brand new multiplayer map called the Urban Ruins. It will be available for most game modes and comes with a lot of different angles for players to use. Some other additions which are more technical include adding an FOV slider for PC use, an improved camera, and a more responsive Teller Mine. In general, 1.06 fixes issues with collisions between players and walls, switching between camera views, preventing players falling through floors, and getting stuck on ladders. Lastly, multiple fixes were added to specific issues in order to improve gameplay and asset interaction.
Though Sniper Elite 5 is still young, the community is active and the devs are vigilant in responding to issues and reports. Patch 1.06 will be the latest set of fixes and players can likely expect more in the future.
